An Extraordinary Archive from the Family Behind Ferrari’s Most Beautiful Cars

This autumn, Tifosi Auctions is honoured to present The Scaglietti Collection, an exceptional archive offered directly by the Scaglietti family. Preserved by the descendants of Sergio Scaglietti, the collection chronicles the remarkable rise of Carrozzeria Scaglietti from its humble beginnings in 1948 as a small Modenese body repair workshop to its emergence as Ferrari’s principal coachbuilder and eventual acquisition by the marque in the late 1970s.

Carefully preserved through decades of family ownership, the collection follows every aspect of that journey, from the company’s original formation documents and successive factory expansions to workshop records, architectural plans, photographs and personal effects. Together with gifts from Enzo Ferrari and even Sergio Scaglietti’s personal metalworking tools,, the collection offers an unusually complete portrait of both the business and the family behind it.

What distinguishes the collection above all is its provenance. Every lot is offered directly from the Scaglietti family, having remained in their possession for decades. Untouched by the market and preserved together across generations, the collection offers Ferrari historians and collectors an unusually direct connection to Sergio Scaglietti, his family, and the world of Ferrari during its most celebrated period.
The Scaglietti Collection will be offered in Tifosi Auctions’ Autumn Auction, open for bidding from 18 October to 1 November.
